APPLICATION DESCRIPTION

MazeCube is a three dimensional Maze Game, a logic puzzle for the brain. It contains 1600 Mazes. You start at one corner on the top level of a Maze Cube (the green 'Start' location in the Graphic) and you have to move to the opposite corner on the bottom level of the Maze Cube (the light blue 'Finish' location in the Graphic).

You will see your 'Current Position' in the Maze Cube (the blue location in the Graphic), and the walls of the Maze Cube, but you can't see all of the locations in the Maze Cube at one time. Instead, you will only see a 'Horizontal Slice' (the two dimensional slice of the level of your Current Position in the Maze Cube) and a 'Vertical Column' (the one dimensional slice of the locations directly above and below your Current Position in the Maze Cube).

Touch and move your finger within the Horizontal Slice or the Vertical Column to move to any location that is accessible to your Current Position on your Horizontal Slice or Vertical Column. Press the <Mark Position> button to drop or retrieve a 'breadcrumb' mark to help you find your way in the Maze Cube. If you need help, use the <Show Best Move> button.

Maze Cubes can have from 3 to 10 cubes on each edge. This full version of Maze Cube offers 100 mazes of each size and difficulty level, a total of 1600 mazes. A free version is available from the App Store – it contains only a few mazes. Walls in the maze can be normal, porous, reveal-able or invisible.

Shown below is a Graphic that describes the Maze Cube, three mazes and the Select Maze screen used to select a maze from the 1600 mazes available. The first maze has 4 cubes on each side. The Marker is shown on the lowest Horizontal Slice. The breadcrumbs (not usually displayed) mark the path that the Marker took to get to its Current Location – and the path it can take to get to the Finish. The second maze has 5 cubes on each side and the Marker is in the Start location. The breadcrumbs indicate that to complete this maze the Marker will need to go down and back up to the top Horizontal Slice. The third maze has 8 cubes on each side and the Marker is shown on the top Horizontal Slice about to descend down the Vertical Column to the third Horizontal Slice.
